Designer Bag

In collaboration with the Somerset Collection I created a luxury handbag that was then auctioned at the event ORT in the City. Tasked with embodying Detroit as well as highlighting one of their luxury brands, I landed on Faygo and Louis Vuitton. Right away I knew I wanted to design a pattern because that's what I think of when I think Louis Vuitton. The idea behind the bag was that when you shake a pop and open it, it explodes. Initially, I wanted the bag to be colorful. Through the process I eventually decided that color would take away some of the luxury. I'm happy with my decision to exclude color, not counting the interior. The beautiful thing about this is Cream Soda is my favorite flavor. Production of the pattern was in Adobe Illustrator, interior printed via Spoonflower, printed on leather via laser cutter, and all sewn together by a seamstress. Behold, the Faygo-Vuitton leather handbag.
